FIELD: electron-beam processing of materials.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electron-beam processing of materials and can be used in making articles from titanium alloys in aerospace, power and chemical nuclear engineering. Method of producing welded seam by electron-beam welding of parts from titanium alloys involves arrangement of parts to be welded in chamber of electron-beam installation, electron-beam welding of parts, cooling of welded parts and subsequent zonal thermal treatment of weld by electron beam. Electron beam welding and zonal thermal treatment by annealing are carried out in vacuum in one process cycle without depressurisation of the chamber of electron-beam installation, zonal heat treatment is carried out along welded seam by defocused electron beam with provision in weld seam of recrystallization temperature of welded titanium alloy, wherein the degree of defocusing of the electron beam is selected to provide overlapping of the weld seam by a factor equal to 1.09–1.2 of the width of the weld.

EFFECT: higher impact viscosity of weld seam, reduced residual stress due to aligned structure of welded joint; time of article manufacturing is reduced.
