FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method involves mixing at least one starch powder with aqueous starch fluid medium containing granular starch and/or starch gel. Content of starch in the aqueous starch fluid medium and the ratio of starch powder to aqueous starch fluid medium in the mixture are such that total content of starch in the obtained mixture is higher than 45 wt %, preferably ranging from 50 wt % to 82 wt %, and particularly from 52 wt % to 75 wt %. Mixing is carried out at atmospheric pressure while stirring in a cooking chamber kept at temperature equal to or higher than 85°C for 3 minutes to 2 hours. Further, the colloidal starch solution obtained after mixing is heated at pressure higher than atmospheric pressure and at temperature ranging from 120°C to 180°C, preferably from 140°C to 180°C, for 15 seconds to 30 minutes.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain a starch adhesive composition with high content of solid substances, acceptable viscosity and stability during cooling.
