SUBSTANCE: invention relates to colloidal cross-linked copolymers based on sulphur and aniline, containing conducting and non-conducting polymer links, meant for use as active cathode materials for chemical current sources. Disclosed is a cathode composition containing active cathode material in form of a colloidal cross-linked copolymer of sulphur and aniline, as well as acetylene black and polyethylene oxide. Also disclosed is a method of producing colloidal cross-linked copolymers of sulphur and aniline via oxidative copolymerisation in the presence of oxidative systems (H2O2/FeCl3/HCl or H2O2/FeSO4/H2SO4).

EFFECT: use of said copolymers as active cathode material of lithium batteries ensures stable operation of cells with high charge-discharge capacity and long cycling.
