FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: composition contains one or more ethylene polymers. The ethylene polymer is obtained through synthesis of an ethylene homopolymer having characteristic viscosity measured at 135°C in decalin solution ranging from 1.01 to 1.5 (dl/g), and copolymer synthesis. The composition has flow index at 190°C under a load of 21.6 kg ranging from 1.0 to 10 g/10 min, characteristic viscosity measured at 135°C in decalin solution ranging from 3.0 to 5.0 (dl/g), density from 955 to 970 kg/m3, number of methyl branches per 1000 carbon atoms, according to 13C-NMR, less than 0.1 and impact resistance measured at 40°C in accordance with JIS K 7160 of not less than 270 kJ/m2. The obtained compositions have improved and well balanced moulding properties, such as easy mouldability and long-term mechanical properties.
EFFECT: blow moulded articles and fuel tanks have excellent long-term properties, such as impact resistance and plastic flow resistance, thus guaranteeing hardness required of moulded articles, even when said articles are made with low thickness.
