FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: prestressed reinforced concrete sleeper with higher resistance to shift in ballast comprises a middle part and two symmetrical under-rail parts. The sleeper is reinforced with prestressed rods. Ends of rods are protected at the ends of the under-rail part of the sleeper. The ratio of areas of the end of the under-rail part of the sleeper and in the middle section of the sleeper is determined on the basis of the ratio 1.3≤S/S1≤1.33 or on the ratio 1.35≤S/S1≤1.6. The sleeper is reinforced with at least three rods with a crescent-shaped profile. Ends of the sleeper rods are protected with plastic plugs or are closed with a cement and sand mortar.
EFFECT: increased crack resistance, strength and rigidity of a reinforced concrete sleeper.
