SUBSTANCE: method for legal eavesdropping involves the following operations: after receiving an eavesdropping task, eavesdropping is performed on target objects using an eavesdropping network element (NE); and using the eavesdropping network element (NE) user plane data are sent from corresponding service sessions of target eavesdropping objects which satisfy the configured policy of providing tapped information according to the eavesdropping task and the configured policy of providing tapped information which reduces the flow of the user plane data being sent. Said method is realised using a packet data gateway, an eavesdropping centre and an eavesdropping network element.
EFFECT: reduced flow of user plane data sent during the eavesdropping process.
