SUBSTANCE: method to reduce consumption of resources for legal interception or retention of data related to traffic of target 2G/3G of a mobile telephone connected to a telecommunications network interacting with a developed packet system, which includes stages of detecting on the first unit at least the value of the parameter in data, for which legal interception or data retention was activated; assessing on the basis of at least the parameter value whether traffic is intercepted or retained on the second unit crossed by the traffic in the same network; filtering requests for legal interception or intercepted data, if the second unit is located downstream the traffic of the first unit.
