FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of laminar composite steel-aluminium materials. Steel sheets are pre-stacked into cores and impregnated aluminium melt with 0.5-5 wt % of titanium at melt temperature of 720-850°C.
EFFECT: flux application increases strength of intermediate intermetallic layer formed on steel-aluminium interface.
