FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to transport engineering. Walking propeller includes body, platform and mechanical energy recuperation and balancing system. Body can perform reciprocate movement by bidirectional drive on upper horizontal beam, on the ends of which pairs of cross-spaced telescopic vertical supports are mounted. Platform is attached to lower body part on vertical joint and connected to bidirectional turning drive. Platform features additional horizontal beam connected to its reciprocal drive. Platform supports are attached to additional beam in the same manner as body beam supports. Recuperation system is made in the form of two aggregates mounted symmetrically between upper beam and body and between additional beam and platform. Each aggregate consists of two vertical bushings attached to body and platform, torsion spring linked by vertical hollow shaft to gear connected to two gear-shafts. Gear-shafts are mounted in vertical bushings and linked to gears catching double-side rack by turns. Rack cogs are cut from rack end to middle at one side, and from rack middle to the other end at the other side. Rack is attached to upper and additional beams parallel to upper and additional horizontal beams.
EFFECT: enhanced cross-country capacity of walking propeller.
