FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method for oligomerisation of ethylene and/or alpha-olefins. Described is a method for oligomerisation of ethylene and/or alpha-olefins, involving the following steps: oligomerisation of ethylene and/or alpha-olefins, carried out using a homogeneous catalyst containing a zirconium component, in which a zirconium compound has the formula ZrCl4-mXm, where X = OCOR or OSO3R', where R and R' independently denote alkyl, alkylene and phenyl, and where 0<m<4, and an organoaluminium component, dividing the obtained product into at least product required on the market and one or more fractions not required on the market, and feeding the one or more fractions not required on the market into a furnace for vapour-phase cracking.
EFFECT: method for oligomerisation of ethylene and/or alpha-olefins in which there is no burning of fractions not required on the market, while finding alternative ways of using said fractions.
