FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to polyimide resin-based compositions used to obtain coatings. Disclosed is a method of reducing vulcanisation temperature and time of polyimide films, involving mixing a phosphorous catalyst with a polyimide, coating a substrate with the obtained mixture and then vulcanising the coated substrate by heating. The invention also discloses methods of reducing formation of voids in the vulcanised polyimide films and a method of raising the glass transition temperature of a polyimide film, also based on using a phosphorous catalyst.
EFFECT: high glass transition temperature of the obtained coating, minimising voids in the vulcanised substrate and faster vulcanisation process.
