FIELD: communications engineering. SUBSTANCE: proposed method that can be used for private communications in water medium involves on-line generation of data transfer channel, its protection against unauthorized overhearing, and for on-line detection of submerged objects. For the purpose channel is produced in liquid phase by means of laser, and signal interacting with submerged or surface object is disposed along channel boundaries during echo ranging or data transfer, respectively. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of data transfer channel generation, its protection, and underwater object detection. 10 cl, 4 dwg
