FIELD: physics; geophysics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to geophysics and can be used in seismic survey on water bodies covered with ice. A seismic signal is generated on a water surface covered with ice. The signal reflected from the bottom geological structures is picked up. The seismic signal is generated using a double explosive charge thrown from aircraft. The first part of the charge breaks the ice in a cumulative way, allowing the second part to penetrate into the water. The second part explodes in the water after penetration. The reflected seismo-acoustic wave is picked up on the surface of ice of the water body using laser interferometers mounted on the aircraft moving over the surface of the ice. The synchronisation pulse signal of the seismic source is obtained using a central interferometer. The axis of the beam of the central interferometer is inclined opposite the direction of movement of the aircraft. Said axis of the beam of the central interferometer covers the water surface free from ice by the first cumulative part of the charge.
EFFECT: high efficiency (speed) and noise immunity of investigating water bodies.
