SUBSTANCE: notification search engine is used with search engines such as search agents for searching for required documents and/or resources. Specific documents are found using search requests. The search engine tracks values of a set of corresponding properties in requests. Each time the system searches for a document, values of that set of properties are compared with an old value. Non-conformity indicates that the document has been altered. A user is sent a notification of changes to the document in which they are interested.
EFFECT: possibility of tracking a defined set of corresponding properties of a document and sending notifications to a user only if defined properties of the document have changed.
