FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of agriculture, in particular, to arable farming and crop cultivation. The method includes consecutively executed stages of forming at least a testing and control variants of crop seed samples, ensuring contact of the testing seed sample with soil with the addition of water until the lowest moisture capacity of soil is reached, ensuring contact of the control seed sample with sand with the addition of water until the lowest moisture capacity of sand is reached, holding said testing and control seed samples until germination, removing soil and sand from the germinated seeds. In each sample variant, the germinated sprouts are separated from the root system, the cut sprouts and, separately, the root system with the remaining seeds are weighed. For each control and testing samples, a dimensionless coefficient of the ratio k of the weight of the green mass of germinated sprouts mg to the weight of the root system with the remaining seeds mkc is determined by the formulas wherein mg0-S is the weight of the green mass of germinated sprouts in the control sample (sand), mkc0-S is the weight of the root system with the remaining seeds in the control sample (sand), mgi-S is the weight of the green mass of germinated sprouts in the testing samples (soil); mkci-S is the weight of the root system with the remaining seeds in the testing samples (soil), i is the number of a particular soil, S is the name of the variety. The soil fatigue indicator is then calculated, taken as the ratio of the resulting dimensionless coefficients for control and testing samples, by the formula and based on the value of this soil fatigue indicator, a conclusion is made on the degree of soil fatigue as applied to a specific crop, a specific crop variety and the potential development of a specific crop and a specific crop variety on a specific soil.
EFFECT: method provides an increase in the accuracy of estimating the soil fatigue, simplification of the process, reduction in the time and labour consumption and an obtained possibility of predicting the potential development of a specific crop variety on a specific soil.
