FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to protection of biological objects and can be used in systems for physical protection from intruders. The method for acoustic effect on an intruder involves exposure of an intruder to two ultrasonic signals at different carrier frequencies. The difference between the frequencies is equal to maximum sensitivity of the ear channel of the intruder. The carrier frequencies of the ultrasonic signals are amplitude-modulated by infra-low frequency signals. The infra-low frequencies correspond to resonant frequencies of human body parts. The apparatus for ultrasonic effect on an intruder has a first ultrasonic generator with a radiator, a second ultrasonic generator with a radiator and a pulsed infra-low frequency amplitude modulator. The output of the modulator is connected to control inputs of the ultrasonic generators.

EFFECT: longer range for painful acoustic effect on an intruder.
