FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to metallurgy. The crystalliser comprises a mould (1) with depth of more than 20 mm, open at the side of ingot drawing, a body (2) with discharge nozzles (3), upper (4) and lower (5) flanges, a screen (7), arranged at the side of the bottom part of the mould (1), a partition (9), joined with the screen (7) and distanced from the mould (1) and the upper flange (4) at the distance of 2-10 mm. The screen (7) is installed at the distance of 7-40 mm from the mould (1), and on its surface there are holes provided with diameter of 3-20 mm with pitch of 1.5-3 of the hole diameter. Holes in the screen (7) are arranged at the left and at the right from the plane of symmetry of the mould (1) at the angles of 90-45° to its surface. A supply nozzle (6) is installed in the lower flange (5).
EFFECT: invention provides for increased efficiency and stability of casting process due to evenness and high intensity of ingot cooling.
