FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to continuous, continuous-cyclic and cyclic metal casting. Ingot casting mould comprises jacket, housing with feed and discharge branch pipes, bottom and top flanges connected with shield. Holes are arranged on shield surface with spacing in height and perimeter varying from 2 to 4 hole diameters that vary from 3 to 20 mm. Jacket outer surface has trapezoidal-cross-section recesses aligned with said holes, their depth making up to 0.8 of jacket thickness. Shield is arranged some 3 to 30 mm from said jacket.
EFFECT: better cooling capacity of casting mould, higher efficiency.
