FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method and device for efficient use of recuperated electric power. Proposed method consists in connecting traction motor to constant voltage source, disconnecting the vehicle therefrom, performing electrodynamic braking by changing traction motor in generator mode, accumulating recuperated power and sending it back to traction motor. Accumulation and return of power is performed using superhigh capacity pulse capacitor. The latter ensures absorption of all recuperated power and preset safe low-voltage supply aboard the vehicle. After electrodynamic braking traction motor is connected to supply circuit constant voltage source. Starting is performed with traction motors two power sources switched on at a time. Proposed device comprise traction motor, traction motor control unit, recuperative braking power accumulator and means for sending it back to traction motor. Superhigh capacity pulse capacitor is connected in series with dc voltage source via traction motor. Negative terminal of superhigh capacity pulse capacitor is connected to negative wire of supply line via inverted diode. Positive terminal of motor is connected with positive terminal of superhigh capacity pulse capacitor via locking diode.
EFFECT: efficient use of recuperated electric power.
