FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to electrical traction systems of vehicles. Method of controlling a rectifier-inverter converter of an electric rolling stock consists in shunting the circuit of the rectified current of the electric drive with a discharge arm. Bypassing the rectified current circuit in the regenerative braking mode is carried out by unlocking transistors by means of control pulses with an angle won at time instants ωt=π-won electric degrees in first half-period, ωt=2π-won electric degrees in the second half-period. Discharge of the discharge arm is carried out by locking transistors by means of removing control pulses with angle woff at instants of time ωt=woff electric degrees in first half-period, ωt=π+woff electric degrees in the second half-period. Angles won and woff are selected based on the criterion of the maximum power factor measured in the primary winding of the traction transformer. Invention covers also design of electric rolling stock rectifier-inverter converter.
EFFECT: technical result consists in improvement of converter energy indices in the mode of recuperative braking.
