FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a glass sheet with a coating having a textured surface. The article has a glass or plastic substrate, having visible light transmission factor higher than 0%, and having a first main surface and an opposite second main surface, where the second main surface has a textured surface for forming a second substrate surface with a given structure. A top layer is deposited on the second main surface via vacuum magnetron sputtering, the top layer having a first surface and an opposite second surface. The top layer is a heat resistant coating having an aesthetic reflecting layer of one or more metals, metal alloys and mixtures thereof, which gives the article an metallic appearance, where the coating additionally has a ground coat on the aesthetic reflecting layer, a dielectric layer on the ground coat and a protective layer on the dielectric layer.
EFFECT: low cost of making articles.
