FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: gear internal combustion engine includes housing, inlet and outlet channels. In cylindrical bores of the housing there arranged are two drive gears with external engagement, which are rigidly fixed on shafts. In additional cylindrical bores of the housing there installed are two driven gears being in external engagement with drive gears. External engagement of drive gears divides inner volume of engine into inlet-compression section and working stroke-outlet section. On two diametrally opposite teeth of one drive gear there cut are through slots. In the second drive gear the similar slots are cut in two adjacent and diametrally opposite teeth. Gears are installed so that at engagement point a tooth with slot of one gear is located between teeth with slots of the other gear. Engine can contain several housings connected so that one of drive gears of each housing can be rigidly fixed on one common shaft. Rotation axes of all gears are in one and the same plane. Inlet channels are offset relative to outlet channels to centre of the housing so that each inlet channel can be fully overlapped with teeth of drive gear.
