SUBSTANCE: parameters of time synchronisation and identification of one defined cell group out of many are specified in a signal sent in a cellular communication system, having a radio frame at a physical level, besides, the radio frame comprises many time intervals. In one available time interval out of many a synchronisation signal S1 is sent, which comprises a pair of sequences (I) arranged in the first order. In another available time interval out of many a synchronisation signal S2 is sent, which comprises a pair of sequences (II) arranged in the second order. The selected pair of sequences is uniquely identified with a certain cell group, and the first order of sequences is used only for transfer in one available time interval out of many, and the second order of sequences is used only for transfer in one specified available time interval out of many.

EFFECT: invention provides for cell searching and synchronisation.
