FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, neurosurgery, neurology and radiodiagnostics, and can be used for diagnostics of spine artery (SA) compression in spinal canal in case of various forms of injury of vertebral-motor segment, in particular, in case of degenerative-dystrophic diseases of cervical spine. Spiral computer (SCT) and magnetic-resonance tomography (MRT) of cervical spine are carried out, examining SA canal from both sides, detecting its narrowing and/or deformities. Presence of bone and/or soft-tissue SA compression is determined, area of transverse SA canal section is measured at the level of detected pathology from both sides and index of bone, by SCT data, and soft-tissue, by MRT data, compression is calculated by dividing area of transverse canal section from the side of pathology by area from normal side. If index value is from 1.0 to 0.7, moderate SA compression is diagnosed, from 0.6 to 0.3 - expressed compression, if index value is lower than 0.3 - significant.
EFFECT: method ensures increase of diagnostics accuracy.
