FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to neurosurgery, and can be used in microsurgical treatment of patients with cervical radiculopathies due to compression of cervical roots by preforaminal hernias or uncophoraminal stenoses. It is followed by resection of the long neck muscle to the medial edge of the uncus and forming a milling canal using bur 4 mm from the lateral edge of the intervertebral disc at the base of the uncus through the intervertebral disc along the medial edge of the uncus, with the outlet of the milling canal on the foraminal part of the intervertebral disc.
EFFECT: method provides the effectiveness of the surgical treatment and reduced injuries and the risk of vertebral artery damage at the stage of the milling canal formation due to the presence of anatomical landmarks of the exit to the intervertebral foramen.
