FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ophthalmic surgery and is used in implantation of intraocular lens (IOL) into posterior eye chamber in case of traumatic film cataract. S-shaped lens is implanted and fixed by successive bringing of support elements into diametrically located cuts, made in capsule sac. Cuts are located on straight line going through optic axis of eye, along the smallest size of through defect. Distance of cuts from optic axis is determined by application of IOL on capsule sac, superposing optic centre of IOL with projection of optic axis of eye. Simultaneously IOL is placed with diameter, connecting points of fixation of support elements with optic part, along the smallest size of through defect. If along the smallest diameter of through defect lens optics edge do not reach defect edges or one edge does not reach defect edge, then the first cut is made at the distance 0.5 mm from defect edge, more distant from optic axis projection. At the same distance from optic axis projection the second cut is made. If lens optics overlaps defect edges along the smallest size of through defect, both cuts are made at the distance 0.5 mm from lens optics edge. Width of cuts corresponds to width of support element in zone of fixation.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to eliminate bleeding, which takes place in case of suture lens fixation in ciliary sulcus, postoperative complications, ensures stable central position of IOL, high vision acuity, reduction of operation time.
