FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: proposed system is meant for objective assessment of the belonging within the direct vision of subscriber, armoured, automobile and other ground vehicles, as well as military men and military unit as a whole to one of parties to the conflict by assigning the investigated object to one of the following classes: "Friend", "Ally" or "Foe" on the basis of application of universal optical feature for any vehicles referring to one class, which distinguishes it from vehicles of two other classes, and identification SAW-mark.
EFFECT: improving accuracy of determining the belonging of ground vehicles and enlarging functional capabilities of the known device owing to reliable determination of belonging of military men by using the scanning unit and identification marks which are provided for ground vehicles and military men immediately prior to military activities.
