SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of animal husbandry, in particular to the tools used to care for animals, namely, their cleaning. A device for cleaning animals comprises a housing in the form of a handle and a shaft with teeth on one its surface at a certain distance from each other. The device has two hinged X-shapely crossing forks bound with axles. These forks differ in spacing between the branches, working upper and lower sponges on the ends and equipped with teeth. The axes are mounted on the same line in the holes and are made at the intersection of the branches of the forks. The small fork is located with its branches between the branches of the large fork. The element of self-purification is a moving spring-loaded plate with holes for the teeth with the possibility of movement along the teeth. Handles of both forks are located in one side relative to the axes; the working sponges are located in the other side.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of cleaning the hair of animals, reduction of pain during the procedure.
