FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to casting process particularly to production of a strip out of aluminium alloy in casting process. The device has the first and the second casting surfaces and a gap between these surfaces. Molten aluminium is poured at a rate of about 15.24 to 91.44 m/min in a strip with a thickness of 0.2032 to 0.635 cm, which leads to emergence of non-miscible liquid phase drops before the crystallisation front. Drops of a non-miscible phase are captured by the rapidly moving solidification front in the space between the axes of the secondary dendrites. The aluminium alloy complete solidification point is formed in the gap. Non-miscible phase contains one of the elements: Sn, Pb, Bi and Cd.
EFFECT: uniform distribution of non-miscible phases in the aluminium alloy.
