FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: proposed device comprises at least elevator 10 with at last one top cabin A1, one bottom cabin A2, first switch 21 whereon weight 23 is suspended by means of long suspension 24. Weight (G) 23 makes first switch 21 retaining in running position. Bottom cabin is provided with second electromechanical switch 22 secured vertically below said weight 23. In compliance with said method, in case both cabins A1, A2 go approaching in negative way, weight 23 comes onto second switch 22 to break safety circuit of bottom cabin A2. Weight (G) loosening causes breaking safety circuit of top cabin A1. Elevator comprises one drive and one parking brake per each cabin. Note here that in making and breaking safety circuits, drives of both cabins are switched on to actuate parking brakes of both cabins. Safety device operated as described above, comprises aforesaid first and second switches.
EFFECT: higher safety in operation.
