SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of installing an elevator with the following steps: arranging a counterweight frame (41) designed to move along the guide rails (21) of the counterweight; placing an installation platform (51) designed to move along the guide rails (33) of the cabin; loading onto the counterweight frame (41) of at least one elevator component and moving the counterweight frame (41) to the installation platform. The movement of the counterweight frame (41) is independent from the installation platform.
EFFECT: increased safety and efficiency.
