FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of pellet powder for small arms and small-calibre artillery. The method of producing coarsely dispersed pellet powder involves preparation of lacquer powder by mixing cellulose nitrate ingredients in water with ethyl acetate, dispersing the lacquer and removing the solvent. The powder lacquer is prepared in 6-10 pts.wt water with respect to cellulose nitrate ingredients. An emulsifying agent is added in amount of 2.0-4.0 wt % with respect to water. The lacquer is dispersed and the solvent is removed in amount of 40…50% of the total poured volume. Contents of the reactor are cooled to 50°C. The process is stopped. Excess water is decanted in amount of 3-6 pts.wt and granules are then moulded for 60-180 minutes at temperature 50-69°C in the presence of 3-6 wt % emulsifying agent 4-10 wt % sodium sulphate with respect to water and the residual amount of solvent is then removed.
EFFECT: invention increases output of gun powder fraction with grain size higher than 1,5 mm and reduces polydispersity.
