FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of producing thermoplastic explosive compounds which, owing to their properties, can be used in production of charges of different geometrical shape using methods which are used to process thermoplastic materials. The method of producing the compound involves mixing components of the compound by dosing into a container an energy-generating filler, butadiene-nitrile rubber BNKS-18AMN and ethyl acetate with ratio of rubber to solvent equal to 1:3-1:5, and then holding in the closed container for 6-72 hours, after which the obtained mixture is mixed with phenol formaldehyde resin SF-0112 or SF-0112A; roller milling the compound at temperature of the working rollers 40-100°C and thickness of the fabric of the compound 0.5-12.0 mm; drying; and pressing the charge via a passage method using a moulding tool. The energy-generating filler used can be ammonium perchlorate or potassium perchlorate.

EFFECT: method enables to lower mechanical effect on sensitive explosive substance and increase safety of the mixing process, while maintaining high degree of homogeneity of the formed mixture, wherein the obtained explosive compound provides the required ballistic characteristics.
