FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method of diffusion titanization of articles made of hard alloys containing cobalt in an amount of more than 5% includes the preliminary carburization of the mentioned products at a temperature of 1000°C and the subsequent diffusion saturation of their surface in a low-melting lead-bismuth melt containing in dissolved state titanium at a temperature of 1150°C for 20 minutes. After diffusion saturation, the products are cooled in the temperature range from 1000°C to 700°C a speed of 100-200°C in a minute.
EFFECT: increase of wear resistance and service life of products from hard alloys containing cobalt in an amount of more than 5 percent, and productivity of the technological process.
