FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: development method of high-viscosity oil and bitumen deposit involves construction of vertical injection and production wells, pumping to injection wells of heat- and water-insulating compound and heat carrier and extraction of the product from production wells. At that, the deposit is divided into the sections in which the well lying close to the central part is used as injection well for pumping of heat carrier in the form of superheated steam, and the rest wells in the section are used as production wells. After watering-out of the deposit product in production wells located near the injection well, heat- and water-insulating compound is pumped to injection well; close located production wells are converted to injection wells. At further watering-out of the product in production wells located close to injection wells, the pumping process of heat- and water-insulating compound to injection wells and conversion of wells located near them to injection wells is repeated till the formation product is worked-out in each deposit section.

EFFECT: increasing oil production rate of the formation, reducing energy losses and shortening the production time.
