FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: in defining leak location, pipeline is analyzed by flaw detector made up of four different-wavelength radars arranged on low-altitude aircraft on simultaneous scanning by aligned thermovision and TV sensors and combined digital filtration of radar signals and those of aforesaid sensors. Note here that transceiving antennas of said four radars are arranged on helicopter rotor blade ends while received signals are processed to algorithm of synthesised aperture. Leak location is defined from local temperature drop registered by thermovision sensor and data obtained by radars and TV sensors. Depth of pipeline is defined from its image colour on indicator display. Note here that in compliance with this invention, high-frequency oscillation is generated and phase manipulated by pseudorandom sequence, generated complex signal with power-manipulated phase is amplified and emitted toward Earth surface. Signal reflected from said surface is passed through controlled-delay unit and multiplied by sounding complex power-manipulated signal. Low-quality strains are isolated to generate correlation function R(τ), where τ is current time delay, by varying delay τ correlation function R(τ) is maintained at maximum level, time delay τd is fixed between sounding and reflected signals to determined therefrom the helicopter flight altitude. Note here that phase-manipulated complex signals are received by there antennas. One of the latter of measurement channel is fitted above helicopter hub while two other antennas of direction-finding channels are arranged on helicopter rotor blade ends. Phase-manipulated complex signal of every direction-finding channel is multiplied by measurement channel phase-manipulated complex signal. Harmonic strains are isolated in rotor rpm to measure angular coordinates of radio emission source for them to be registered. Measurement channel phase-manipulated complex signal is multiplied by reference voltage to isolate low-frequency voltage proportional to modulating code and register it. Low-frequency voltage is simultaneously multiplied by measurement channel phase-manipulated signal to isolate harmonic strain for it to be used as a reference voltage.

EFFECT: higher efficiency of leak location.
