SUBSTANCE: when realising the method, the piezoelectric hydrophone is excited. The output voltage is recorded and the conversion coefficient is calculated, from which the state of the piezoelectric hydrophone is determined. The piezoelectric hydrophone is excited with a normalised electric signal successively at frequencies which make up the operating range of the piezoelectric hydrophone by transmitting from an external generator a sine-signal of bias voltage of the hydroacoustic pressure of the hydrophone, obtained by measuring potential drop on a resistor which is earthed with respect to the piezoelectric part of the hydrophone and is in a built-in amplifier, excited during primary checking with a give value hydroacoustic pressure at the given frequency.
EFFECT: reduced time and material consumption on determining working capacity of a piezoelectric hydrophone during periodic inspections.
