FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building. Part surface to be reclaimed and that of strip to be welded are machined to form micro relief. Height of the latter is selected in the range of strip solder thickness. Strip solder is placed in the zone of electric contact welding between electrode and strip and between strip and part surface being reclaimed. Obtained material is welded to part surface without melting it to produce bimetal coat. In welding, metals of surfaces being jointed interact in plastic deformation of hardened strip layers due to heat generated in transition resistance between surfaces in contact.
EFFECT: qualitatively new layers on entire surface of bimetal coat due to alloying of reclaimed surface and welded strip by strip solder chemical elements.
