FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention may be used for reconditioning and hardening of worn-out working surfaces of revolving parts. Powder welding is executed at two points at a time by overlapping points at invariable spacing between current feed and negative rollers shifted through half the width. Pressure is applied to powder in seam area equal or higher than welding pressure to up the powder density as compared with that at free filling and in welding area. Part transverse flexure is compensated by roller rest arranged to maintain constant pressure of said rollers to powder layer. Powder ply 11 located between the surface of part 1 and contact surface of roller electrode 3 is enveloped by ply of welded powder 9 on the second side and, on the third side, by powder 10 located between seal 7 and part 1. Powder ply 12 pre-compacted by sealing element 7 is located in the way of roller electrode. Definite amount of powder can be displaced from under the welding electrode 3 to allow adjustment of welding ply depth.
EFFECT: ruled out influence of part diameter on quality of produced coating.
