FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to surface processing by shock wave and may be used in, for example, shock wave hardening, blast welding and liquid-phase sintering. At least one working jet is formed for be forced into chamber with the mix of liquefied propane and air, and directed to material surface. Electric pulse is sent to said working jet to cause electrothermal blast that allows propagation of shock wave in aforesaid mix to generate processing force on material surface.
EFFECT: higher efficiency.
