FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: according to the method, loose charge materials are mixed and supplied in portions to the matrix having conical and cylindrical parts; charge is pressed so that an electrode is obtained; the last charge portion is loaded; adapter with shank is installed on extrusion stem, on which an expansion sleeve is installed for alignment of adapter axis with axis of pressed electrode, with the height equal to adapter shank height, the inner surface of which is adjoined to shank surface during pressing and outer surface is adjoined to surface of cylindrical matrix part; adapter is pressed and loading of charge of the next electrode is performed to the end surface formed with end surfaces of shank and expansion sleeve.
EFFECT: invention allows performing continuous pressing of consumable electrodes with guaranteed alignment of adapter axis with electrode axis.
