SUBSTANCE: decoding device for correcting errors in received data which are low-density parity-check encoded, has first and second apparatus for storing data elements, whose number is equal to the column vectors of the checked low-density parity-check code matrix, data conversion apparatus and checking centre processing apparatus. The data conversion apparatus generates from data stored in the first and second storage apparatus first intermediate data stored in one-to-one mapping with the column vectors. The checking centre processing apparatus based on the sum of the first intermediate and the received data generates second intermediate data to update data stored in the first storage apparatus. The data conversion apparatus updates data stored in the second storage apparatus using first intermediate data, and updates data stored in the first storage apparatus using second intermediate data. Decoded data are generated by the data conversion apparatus and the checking centre processing apparatus.

EFFECT: low error coefficient of decoding while reducing the volume of stored data.
