FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: intersystem handover system for a wireless communication system supports hand-down and hand-up of user equipment (UE) for different radio access technologies, including synchronous and asynchronous systems. The probability of connection failure is reduced owing to that an access node (nodeB) broadcasts information about neighbouring systems when the UE reception (RX) capability is both inside or outside the reception range of the target. To facilitate search for a target system, the UE requests discontinuous reception (DRX).
EFFECT: high efficiency of using channels.
