FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention is referred to the area of medical devices, namely to visualization using computed tomography. The method of visualization consists of using projection data receiving during tomographic examination of periodically moving object for reconstruction of multiple image layers, and the layers of the image are generated from segments of projection data having angular sizes that are less than size required for full tomographic data set. The image layers are merged for generation of first data of the image that are typical for the object in randomly chosen first movement faze and reflect the image convenient for human perception, typical for the first data of the image. In the second version additional merge of image layers is performed in accordance with the second window for generation of the second image data that are typical for the object in the second movement phase and reflect the image convenient for human perception, typical for the object in the second phase of the movement. Image levels are shifted using first angular displacement, and first and second phases of the movement are separated by angular distance that is less than first angular displacement. The device for realization of methods includes the device for use of projection data for reconstruction of multiple image layers, device for image layers merging and device for displaying the image convenient for human perception, typical for the first data of the image. Also the device includes computer-readable data storage unit that contains the information on realization of visualization methods.

EFFECT: speeding up of volumetric data visualization for phase of cardiac cycle.
