FIELD: radiochemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to radiochemistry and can be used to produce preparation on the basis of radium-224 used in radiation medicine. The method of preparation production on the basis of radium-224 includes persorption of thorium-228 from water acid solution of torium-288 and radium-224. The persorption element is phosphonic acid cationite. Further the 3M÷4M hydrochloric acid solution with radium-224 and torium-228 goes through column with phosphonic acid cationite. Torium-228 stays in the phosphonic acid cationite until it accumulates radium-224 to the amount of at least 50% of equilibrium amount and then desorb radium-224 with 7M÷8M hydrochloric acid solution. The invention allows reducing the content of torium-228 in the final radum-224 product.

EFFECT: invention can be used to prepare medicine on the basis of radium-224 in radiation medicine.
