SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the technology of producing preparations of radioactive elements. Method for mutual separation of radionuclides of radium, actinium and thorium involves anion-exchange separation of thorium to obtain a solution of a mixture of radium and actinium radionuclides, desorption of thorium from the anionite, cation-exchange separation of actinium and radium, purification of anion from impurities of iron salts and organic impurities. Thorium desorption from the column with anionite is carried out with a solution containing a mixture of ammonium acetate and acetic acid, and purification of actinium from impurities of iron salts and organic impurities is carried out on a column containing two sorbents: lower layer – hydrophilic macroporous resin based on polymethylmethacrylic acid, upper layer – sorbent based on di(2-ethylhexyl)phosphoric acid deposited on an inert carrier.

EFFECT: reduced duration of the thorium solution preparation process for subsequent technological operations, as well as high efficiency of desorption of thorium from the anionite while preventing contamination of the target radionuclide with impurities of corrosion products of stainless steel, which enables to extract actinium-225 with high radionuclide and chemical purity from its mixture with radionuclides of radium-224, radium-225, thorium-228, thorium-229.
