FIELD: powder compression.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to powder compression and can be used in the manufacturing of ceramic tiles. The powder compression is carried out in ceramic tile form using isostatic press. The press has an air pocket containing a certain amount of oil sufficient to support the press elastic membrane. A volumetric dosage unit connects the air pocket with the tank and the feeding pump during each powder compression cycle. The said device feeds the required amount of oil to the air pocket and it is connected with oil measuring and dosage unit. Furthermore, the dosage unit is connected with the valves feeding the oil to the air pocket, holding it inside and removing it from the air pocket. Thus the air pocket contains a predefined amount of oil during each stage of the compression cycle. The invention results in improved quality of compressed products and increased durability of the equipment.
