FIELD: automobile industry.

SUBSTANCE: this invention covers illumination units of the vehicles. Headlamp searchlight-type system includes a drag-cup reflector, light source, lens and shutter rod. The shutter rod is installed between the lens and the reflector with its possible movement into several angular positions along horizontal rotation axis. Side surface of the rod shutter for each angular position has a focal line which establishes light-to-dark limits of light distribution. Left and right headlamps are of similar shutter geometry. Focal lines (9, 10, 12, 13) are installed inversely towards the symmetry vertical plane. First light beam is reflected from the left headlamp by means of focal line (9, 12), and the second light beam is reflected from the right headlamp by means of focal line (10, 13). These beams are overlapped with the following generation of common light distribution. Common light distribution has a light gap limited by two opposite side edges formed by the first and the second light beams. External (9, 10) and/or internal area of the focal line are of a step form, or the external area of the focal line is of dactylose form with a finger located in such a manner that common light distribution is reflected at the measuring wall with the closed light gap.

EFFECT: improvement of headlamp system due to extension of light distribution alternatives.
