FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to processing of antimony raw material and can be used in production of pyro- and piezoelectric devices and parts, i.e. solar batteries, semiconductor light sources, luminescent glass, semiconductor matrix for gas sensors. Water solution of antimony trifluoride SbF3 is mixed with the water solution of ammonium fluoride NH4F with mole ratio of antimony trifluoride and ammonium fluoride of 1: (10-30). Then ammonium hydroxide NH4OH is added to the resulting solution until pH=8 is reached for sedimentation of antimony oxide (III) of cubic modification. The resulting sediment is filtered, washed and dried at 25-90°C. Method simplification is achieved due to ensuring the conditions for sedimentation reaction.
EFFECT: excluded possibility of byproducts formation, and also, due to use of base materials, that do not require pre-treatment.
