FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to UV-absorbing polymer composition that is widely used for production of UV-absorbing polymer films for agriculture and packages, food containers, fibers, fabrics and cloths. It describes UV-absorbing polymer composition with the ratio E308/E524 and/or E360/E524 more than 4. The composition contains organic resin and zinc oxide particles dispersed in organic dispersion medium. The dispersion medium is selected from group including glyceryl monostearate, glyceryl monoisostearate, poluglyceryl stearate, polyglyceryl isostearate, triglyceride and its mixtures. Zinc oxide particles concentration in dispersion is in the range from 40% w/w to 70% w/w from total weight of zinc oxide particles and organic dispersion medium. It also proposes the method of production of said composition, including production of (i) mother stock containing organic resin, organic dispersion medium and zinc oxide particles, and the mixture of mother stock with substrate organic resin, or production (ii) of zinc oxide particle dispersion in organic dispersion medium and direct infusion of medium into substrate organic resin.
EFFECT: effective UF-absorption and transparency to the polymer materials made on its base, as well as sufficient non-toxicity and biodegradability.
